Silk screen poster I did for the Texas Theatre. The print is a 12x18 two color screen print, printed by Napkin Art Studios.

Great one! One of JCs best!
Are you doing a lot of art for other people or only just for fun here and there?

Thanks! Yeah, The Thing is probably my favorite of Carpenter's films, though there are so many great ones. Most of the recent art I've posted is professional work that I've been hired to do, though I definitely try to make time for personal projects.

I saw this on TV once. After a while, I quickly concluded that it was made in the 80's, due to both picture quality, and the way they died (you know, that slightly over the top 80's way).

Considering I turned it on about half-way or so through, and had no way of checking when it was made because I lacked a title (seriously, I looked this up just now and realized that was the movie), my guess was pretty good.

I remember being amazed that a black guy lived to the end (let's face, African-Americans are more likely to die in a horror film than whites. It's something that just seems to happen.)

Haha, true. It is a pretty great movie if you are into the whole survival horror thing. I definitely recommend it.
