The Spinner by robertwilsoniv The Spinner by robertwilsoniv
Here's my contribution to Bottleneck Gallery's current show, Gadgets & Gizmos. I'm a huge fan of both Blade Runner and Syd Mead so when Bottleneck approached me about contributing to a show about tech from movies, the Spinner instantly came to mind. The show is up at Bottleneck's NYC gallery space as well as online, here: [link]

Beautiful stuff. I always really dig the restrained pallets you use as well. Well done, sir!

Anytime dude. Sometime I need to sit down with you and chat about brushwork. I feel I'm lacking and I love what you do with the stuff.

Dude. Amazing work! How do you get those nice straight lines and circles with the brush?

Thanks! Just practice, though I did use a pen and compas on the circle inlay of the unicorn.

Nice! Do you ever use any guides for the round parts or lines or do you just build up a steady drag stroke?
